On March 1, 2024, an Innovator Open Chat event was held. Resource persons included Mrs. Catherine from GEG Jakarta, Mr. Maulana from GEG Sidoarjo, and Mr. Nanang from GEG Balikpapan.

This event aimed to provide outreach to GEG colleagues throughout Indonesia. It offered tips and tricks for those interested in becoming Google Certified Innovators, a program organized by Google America.

The three speakers addressed several key points:

Prestigious Selection Process: Google Innovator Academy is a highly regarded program due to its rigorous membership selection system.

Global Reach: Google Innovator Academy goes beyond a state event. It involves educators from across Asia-Pacific countries.

Professional Commitment: As participants represent their respective countries, adhering to program regulations and fulfilling commitments is essential. Maintaining a professional attitude is an obligation.

English Language Requirement: The learning materials and instruction language are in English. Participants must be proficient in English.

Affinity Buddies: During each session, participants will be paired with an "Affinity Buddy" from another country. These pairs will discuss topics presented by the instructor.

Collaborative Tasks: Each session will involve tasks to be completed or discussed with your Affinity Buddy.

Identifying a Problem: Before registering, participants should identify a specific problem they wish to address, but not necessarily propose a solution.

Motivation Video: Applicants must create a self-video explaining their motivation for joining the Google Innovator Academy and the problem they intend to focus on.

We hope to see a significant increase in Indonesian participants at the 2024 Google Innovator Academy compared to 2022
